Robert Little's Writings beginning ---  ending

Dear Betty:

Delighted to hear your voice today. You sound as
young as ever. You asked how I survive from day to day.
Presently a bit handicapped by an injured knee.

I get up about 7.OO am. One egg for breakfast. I pay
$2.OO a dozen for special ones. Sometimes two eggs.
Always sharp cheddar cheese. Wisconsin called razor sharp.
3 years old. Always dates. From Lee Andersons Covalda Date
Co. Only place in the world that grows poison free dates.
I buy Fancy Deglet Noor. Bought l5 lbs the first part of
Nov. Almost finished. Just ordered another l5 lbs.
Will buy more later. I begin with a date and some
cheese. This morning a boiled egg. Simple. Used to cook
them in a variety of ways. Piece of whole wheat toast
I am trying to buy one of those Japanese baking machines.
Makes one loaf. The store here that sold them ran out of
stock at Christmas. I used to bake l2 loaves at a time.

At the whole Food Store I buy four grain cereal. Wheat,
rye, rice & oats. I add a heaping tea spoon of raw wheat
flour which I grind in my mill. then add some powdered milk.
Also regular milk when I have it. I buy milk in glass
bottles

I avoid the plastic, cartons when possible. I add two
dates,cut up, to the cereal.

For dinner, tonight, mostly vegetables and another egg.
Garnet Yam, string beans and potatoes, that originated in
Finland. They are light yellow inside. Great taste.
They are now grown in British Columbia, Canada or Washington
State. I cut them up in pieces and roast them in my
convection oven. Along with the yam.

Tomorrow, my, neighbor will pick up a Porter House steak.
I make it last two days.

I occasionally cook a leg of lamb. Small one. Say 4 lbs.
Lasts 4 days. Have it for breakfast and dinner. Takes a
good man to finish a leg of lamb by himself. I often
buy ground lamb from a very good meat market. I eat fish
especially salmon steaks. Last year I bought a 5 l/2 lb
salmon from a fisherman at the Farmers Market. Had 8 people
to dinner. Hired a cook. The fish was wonderful. Too
long for my convection oven. Cut off part of the tail
section to make it fit.

I have chicken. Chicken stew and various other ways
How do you like this trivia? It is now midnight.
Inclosing an article that I wrote.

------------------------------------

January 25/9l I stopped the trivia. You might think I was
giving advice about nutrition. Little use giving advice
about anything today. It appears that all of us have some
brain damage from the input. Our computer memories are
clogged up. The sheer volume of noise may be cooking our
minds.

There is a significant article in the latest issue of
Natural Foods & Farming which states that our immune system
can only handle a limited number of toxins at one time.
Otherwise the extra toxins just float around tearing us
apart.

It is difficult to get good food , no matter how smart one is
or how much we spend. I just eat the poison in the food and
hope my T cells etc can neutralize it. I try to eat with
gusto. Then our digestive juices work better.

I am quite aware that man does not live by bread alone.
It could be that unhappiness is the greatest cause of
illness. I am concerned about the increasing fear among
people. (getting in deep again)

It is difficult to fight the experts on T.V. They must
listen to each other too much and addle their minds.

You asked me about the war. I inclose an article.

I love my computer. I look forward to seeing you.
The written word is seldom adequate.

It is well after midnight. Ridiculous

I send my love and admiration to you and your family.
