Dear Cousins.

I trust that you are still enjoying your lovely
place in Surrey. I find the planet rather disturbed. You
are on the same planet and quite aware of events.

My sister Dorothy's death and illness was a big set back for
me. Besides I injured my leg t leg.

I celebrated my 89th Birthday Aug l4. There were 8 of us
My guests were all bright people.

I will inclose some observations about it. Also some other
items.

I have some help. My neighbor, next door, Mrs. Nellie Willett
does most of my shopping. I have other people too.

I subscribe to about a dozen serious journals. Some
television. I am doing this on my computer. I have a fax
machine and a Canon copier. I have an extra telephone,
unlisted. These are good toys for an old man.

I love your address. It reads like poetry.

My brain gets tired but I can still recite the squares of
numbers up to 50. One of your great thinkers could memorize
the squares up to lOO. He broke the German secret code.
I am still able to square 3 digit numbers up to l,OOO.
Rather useless but it puts me to sleep at night.

Give my regards to David.

This is a rambling letter. I hope it finds you well and
with enough good happenings to keep up your spirits.

With admiration and friendship.

From your cousin Robert.
