Dear Dr. Quanton:

I am happy that you will be looking after Mr. Harry W. Klink.
I first saw Mr. Klink on October 15, l965. His intraocular
pressure at that time was normal, right eye l7, left eye l7
Schiotz. He has a scotoma in the right eye. See attached
field.

August 5, l966: Pressure in each eye, 17 mgs. I had him
come in the next morning early and found the pressure in each
eye was 24 mgs. I put him on Pilocarpine 1% q.i.d. There
was no change in the size of the scotoma in the right eye.

November 22, l966: Pressure 22 mgs in each eye.
December 2, 1966: 10 a.m., pressure 17 mgs in each eye.
January 27, l975: Now on Eppy 1% at night with 1% Pilo.
Pressure, right eye 16 mgs, left eye l7 mgs. Peripheral
fields normal but still has the scotroma in the right eye.
Corneas clear, media clear, lenses clear. The optic discs are
suspicious for cupping. Not definite.

December 29, l981: Patient tells me a funny thing happened
back in Hawaii. His left eye became blurred during the day.
During the night it was like an explosion--a gray color with
a lot of floaters, also bubbles. Now his right eye is the
good one. It has been improving. He went to an eye doctor
in Hawaii who did not find much and did not mention bleeding.
The whole thing floats--moves opposite to movements of the
eye. No pain or headache.

July 23, 1987:  R. + 2.25 Sp. - 0.50 cyl axis 75   20/15-;
       L. + 2.00 Sp. - 0.50 cyl axis 90   20/20;
       Add for near + 1.75 R j1 L j2
Is taking the Pilocarpine 1% with Eppy 1/2%. Pressure right
eye l9-1/2, left 17 mgs.

I tried Timoptic 1/2%. He did not like it. Has gone back to
the Eppy and Pilo. No change in scotoma in right eye.

During our association, Mr. Klink has also seen other doctors
about his eyes. Mr. Klink is a redhead, very intense, quite
sensitive to the environment. Like other creative people, he
is more subject to the stresses of modern life. I feel
privileged that I have known Mr. Klink over the years. We
are running short of people like him. He has helped to make
the world more livable.

Sincerely yours,
Robert H. Little, M.D.
