FIJI

An island in the South Pacific. It was a British colony.
One of my main helpers is from there. Margaret tells me
some interesting customs. SNAILS. They sink a 5 gallon
pail into the ground, They scrape some fresh coconut into
a pulp. Cook it a little to enhance the aroma and put it in
the pail. That attracts snails in the area. They crawl
into the pail. They become covered with oil which makes
them too slippery to climb out hen the pail is full, the
snails are shoveled out and burned. The pail is then made
ready for new visitors.
