Dogwood Lodge Party - May 28, 2011 Background for the 2011 party. Igor made arrangements to show a film of the 1970 Atlanta Pop festival in Byron, GA that many of the old "Chukker Nation" crowd attended. When Joe Whigham died in 2000, Igor obtained his 16mm film that he shot of the festival. Now a group of cinematographers from GA are working on a documentary about the festival and learned that Igor had the precious original footage and they asked him to come on board as a minor producer. Igor arranged for Mike McCracken to be the party to set up a huge screen and great sound system. We viewed about 2 hrs of the rare footage that has never been released before. The party took place a month after a devastating tornado hit Tuscaloosa killing hundreds (photos of devastation, below)
