Webb Ranch - July 23/89

Outline

1. Food is the number one problem and has been so
through out recorded history

2. Better food through better farming.

3. Webb ranch is unique to me on the West coast.
It is an example of mixed farming for it includes cattle.
They avoid flood irrigation. They avoid pesticides.

4. I realize that over population can ruin everything. But we
all need better food. At present , we and the rest of the
world are heading for food riots.

5. Lions club.

6. Mr. Stanley Webb and his son Gary should be on the
faculty of Stanford. They could teach good farming.

7. All students should do their share of survival work like
farming.

8 The beautiful lawns of the big Silicon valley factories
could be handled better. Less pesticides. Sheep.

9.Employees could help on farms. Their wages, up to a
certain amount, could be tax free. With students it could
be tax free.

10. Companies could make compost. Raise some poison free
fruit and vegetables. Use if in their cafeteria.

11. Executives could raise some good food on their estates.
If they helped the farmers, they could take it off their
income tax. Better for their health than jogging or
complicated exercise machine.

12. I note that in Ireland the peat bogs are being
decimated. Here, people buy peat that is dug up in
British Columbia. Instead of peat, I use garbage to
add organic matter to the soil. This works best if
some organic nitrogen is sprinkled on
garbage. If one is a peasant, they can use Homo Sapiens
Urea Nitrogen. College types can find other sources.

12. Certain fruits and vegetables grow well in this area.
We have plenty of trees in this city. We could give
more incentives to people to grow good food.

13. To graduate, all students should demonstrated that they
have survival skills that will help them survive and
society survive.

14. Presently society is destroying its future. It is all
so unnecessary. Webb Ranch and places like it are
precious jewels. They give us hope. They point the way.
They deal with reality.

15. The News Media and other voices talk about calamities but
seldom offer solutions except to spend more money.
But the problems are caused by people and people might solve
them.
