Dear Henry:
The roasting plant sounds fascinating.
Especially sleeping in the van surrounded by a few tons of
food. Apparently you drive down every two weeks and
roast what coffee you want. You must ship it from there or
do you take it home first? I imagine the big hotels have
a standing order for a certain amount.
I inclose a letter about a nice rooming house lady who was
an organic gardener. In Shakespeare's Hamlet there is a
passage. A man may smile and smile and be a villain, at
least 'tis so in Denmark. (Other places to.)
Bought a DRILL PRESS from my handyman. Made in Taiwan.
Five speeds. 620,ll00, l720, 2340, 3100. There is a series
of pulleys on top which can be adjusted. It was set at 620.
now have it at ll00. I keep it in my bedroom. I love to
look at it. No room in the garage and it might get rusty.
In my second childhood I can drill holes in wood like all
children like to do. Possibly very few people have a
beautiful drill press sitting in their bedroom . I have
been told that the slower speed is better for metal. I don't
know.
You have had some luck but you were ready to benefit by
learned skills and a good choice of genes.
May you live amid the aroma of good coffee and a spirited
jingle in the cash register.
I get tired. I feel sad about the deceived masses. Which
begins almost as soon as they are born. As Wordsworth
said, MILTON , THOU SHOULD BE LIVING AT THIS HOUR, ENGLAND
HATH NEED OF THEE.
i SEND MY BEST WISHES TO YOU AND LEILA AND HELENA AND
WILLIE.
