Late in his life Uncle Bob, in about 1985, purchased a personal computer and used it to write letters and essays until his death in 1991 using a word processing program that no longer exists .. He stored the word processing files (in some long forgotten format) on 3.5 inch "floppy disks". In 2022 his great nephew Seth Crimmins converted the word processing files into "plain text" files and then sent them to me so that they could be made available to Bob's extended family.
Many of his documents are rough drafts. Many are letters but it is not known how many he actually sent. Other documents, in various states of completion, are essays, haiku poetry, to-do lists, etc. You get a feel of his political views, the challenges of growing old, his worries, and his core beliefs etc.
