Dear Helena & Wllie:
This picture came with the latest Audubon Society journal.
Different articles told about the
effect of the oil industry on the wild life of Alaska and of
the native people who depended on the wild life for their
survival.
As a boy, I used to see ptarmigans. In the winter, they
are white. In summer, they are a mixture of brown &
white. In this way they blend better with the landscape.
You may have ptarmigans in Finland.
