THE LUDDITES.

The luddites were organized groups of people who believed
that the industrial  revolution would end a social order and
replace it with something worse.  This happened around l811.
At the time there were thousands of people being driven off
the land.  The land owners  believed they could make more
money by raising sheep and selling the wool.
