My Friend the Fisherman:

A week ago Saturday I picked up a couple of your
salmon steaks. I had invited someone for dinner.
We had a simple meal.

I baked the salmon in my convection oven at 350 degrees.
I had bought a big acorn squash at the Whole Food Market.
It looked like a good one and it turned out to be very good.
I cut it lengthwise. In each half, I put about a teaspoonful
of honey and about the same of butter. Takes about 50 minutes or longer. The salmon about 20 minutes.

I had bought some red potatoes, at the some store.
They were excellent. I washed them carefully and trimmed
them when necessary. I cut them up like big potato chips.
About 3/l6th inches" thick. I strung them on a wooden
skewers. Then into the oven with the salmon and squash. I
like them done about an hour or more. They are like potato
chips without the oil. One gets the natural flavor of the
potato.

For dessert, honeydew melon. I was lucky to find a ripe one.

I buy the best food available that has a good flavor. If it
does not have a fairly good taste, I throw it out. It's a
free country. We were given a sense of taste for our own
protection. The same goes for our sense of smell.

Good food is one of the joys of living. Especially with
friends.

I eat some junk food, but I fight it all the way.

Thank you and your staff for adding to my joy with the
wonderful fish.

Sincerely.
