Dear Friends:
Recently a young man whom I had befriended,
stole my wallet. At first I thought I had mislaid it around
the house, but he tried buying things at your Mountain View
store. The store called me and asked. "Do you have a nephew
named Jeff Jones" The store called the police. Jeff
finally ended up in the County Jail.
The store and the police let him keep the card. I have
never found out where it is now. Later he turned
up at your Cupertino store and charged up several hundred
dollars on my Sears card.
When he gets out of jail, what is to stop him attempting
to charge more items.
What disturbs me is, why weren't other stores in the area
notified?
By telephone, your charge dept say I owe almost $1,000.00.
I buy almost everything from Sears including all my
Insurance, except Life Insurance. All my utilities.
Sears has been part of my life. I bought some shares in the
Company recently, just to feel more part of the Sears Family.
What does your dept advise me to do?
