Dear Dr Flocks:
Thank you for seeing William G. Walker M.D.
I understand that cataract surgery was considered on the
right eye. With time ,this may become the obvious choice,
but for the present , I consider the risks of surgery to
outweigh the benefits for the following reasons
1. As you are aware, high myopes are much more subject to
complications.
2. He has been taking thorazine for many years. He has
deposits on the back of each cornea. He has damaged eyes.
3. Part of the diminished vision in the right eye may be due
to retinal changes.
4. He has no trouble reading. He is a real bookworm.
5. He has an excellent driving record. He still gets
adequate side vision with the right eye. He is still a two
eyed man.
6. With new glasses, he will be able to pass the drivers
test.
Over the years, I have given Dr. Walker advice on matters
such as nutrition and on ways for him to better cope with the
stresses of life. He is a kindly man. He thinks too much.
I am very concerned with his wellbeing along with some
happiness.
I would like to discuss this case with you. Possibly your
report is in the mail.
Wishing you good health, long life and some joyful happenings
Sincerely:
Robert H . Little
