Today - Dec 8/88 - Thursday.
For me , just the routine of survival. But I read and
occasionally watch television. The visit of the Russian
President was the big news. The news of the frightful
earthquake in the Armenian part of Russia was the sad
anticlimax.

The whole issue was about the destruction of nature by us
humans in various parts of the world.
The Wall St. Journal has an article on Brazil, a vast country
with resources to match. Along with a magical splendor and
beauty. Conservationists, everywhere are alarmed at the
unnecessary destruction of its natural resources.
