This is an exciting time to be on the planet.
In the lifetime of one person we have come from a time of
relative ignorance to a time of almost complete availability
of knowledge.
But knowledge is power and power without morality can
be destructive to the individual and to society.
When people lived in villages or close knit communities
it would be possible to feel a sense of shared power and
hence some control of ones destiny. Today, many people
believe that they have lost control of their lives.
Increased availability of knowledge has made us more
aware of how destructive past and living people have been
to this beautiful planet. There is talk but little action
to protect the glorious bounty and beauty of our planet.
With many others, I walk in sadness and also in some fear.
