This essay by Lance Morrow tells us about the international
conference on hate recently held in Oslo Norway.
Over the years I found it to be a great cause of
unhappiness and nervous breakdowns. This was in my private
practice and while working with the Veterans Administration
Hospitals in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. I was head of the
Eye & Ear Dept. The veterans were there for a variety of
causes. The wounded and those who had had nervous
breakdowns etc.

Self pity and a sense of failure may lead to
hatred. Hatred may be used as an excuse for failure.
I made up a HAIKU VERSE about it.
Hatred
Successful people
May have fear but seldom hate.
Hate comes with defeat.
I told a lot of veterans and others to be less competitive
against others. Aim at being a fine human. If one is l00%
honest, no one can be more honest. The same for being
truthful. Try to do your share of the work. In other
words, dont be lazy.
Emperor Pachacuti, who enlarged the Inca empire, had all his
subjects greet each other by saying Dont lie, Dont steal,
dont be lazy. That should help build self esteem.
Fear may lead to hatred. In a lawless area, fear can lead
to hatred.
